Dwarf Common Centaury  Centaurium subcapitatum

This star shaped pink Flower rises up a diminutive two or three inches to cluster in sturdy sweet bouquets.  It wasn't the first Flower on Omey to open each morning.  It stayed firmly closed until the sun lit its petals.  However, rain or shine, sunshine or clouds, this Flower had a presence that made me stop to visit.  Sometimes I felt like my walks across Omey were a pinball route from one of these Flowers to the next.  For some reason, this Flower was hard to miss and I wanted to visit with every one I saw.  For all its diminutive size, this plant had a big personality, not brassy but strong. It was pure sweetness without being saccharine.  It was a vibration of love in perfect balance.

Here is one message from this new friend  "Love is enough.  My sweetness is enough.  I help you know this.  Sweetness is not a weakness, it is an enduring strength.  If you feel you have been dismissed because of your sweetness, I come to remind you of its virtue and value."

I AM love refined. I AM the precious gift of sweetness.

PS This was a Flower I had trouble identifying in books.  When I found its name I thought "No wonder, what a dopey name for this dynamo." but as Dwarf Common Centaury said to me "Yes the name I was given is unfortunate but as you all know, a rose by any other name would smell as sweet."
