LA BELLE SULTANE ROSE Rosa Gallica violacea

When this ancient Rose first bloomed in our gardens, I found myself lingering at its side, completely taken with its intense beauty and strength.  It is a big, wide-open, single Rose with velvet petals of deep ruby, surrounding brilliant yellow stamens.  Experiencing this Rose is like being awakened from a deep sleep.
