French Grass aka Creeping Day Flower - Commelina erecta

French Grass is traditionally used in the Caribbean as a cooling infusion for flus and as an ingredient in protective baths.  On tropical farms,  it is used as fodder for small livestock.  Its Flowers, which close in the heat of midday, attract many bees because of their pollen.  The flowers are a brilliant clear blue, a matched pair of two petals with brilliant yellow curling stamens.  It is a small ground hugging Flower but makes a striking note in the landscape.  French Grass declares itself an Essence for everyday life, “I encourage clear thinking, clear action, and clear purposeful responses to events.  I AM helpful for the shy and retiring person who wishes to more boldly live his or her life.  I AM particularly helpful for partners in all endeavors who seek clarity about their work together and also momentum to get their purposes together off the ground into constructive action.
